New York City Daily Newspapers: A Timeline

Background

My motivations for making this chart are twofold. First, as someone who occasionally does research on New York City history, I’ve always found it hard to keep track of which newspapers were active at a given time. Second, a lot of people refer to a bygone era in which there were a lot of dailies, but they never enumerate them.
